An experiment...that worked :)

Tried out a new recipe for dinner tonight...The authentic name is Frittata di Cipolle e gorgonzola which literally means Italian-style cheese and onion omelet...Took me around 70 minutes to prepare and cook but finally, it turned out to be worth the effort as the delicious Frittatas left me feeling full and contented! What better way to end a routine day! :)

M putting down the recipe here for enthusiasts...And also a couple of pics of the final product (Thts how wat i made, looked....wat u make cud well turn out to be much better looking and tastier :) )

Frittata di Cipolle e gorgonzola

Serves: 1

Ingredients:
4 tbsp butter
1 medium onion, sliced
4 eggs
50 ml milk
50 gm cheese, crumbled
1 medium potato, thinly sliced
3-4 fingers French beans, finely chopped
Pepper

Method:
1. In a pan, heat the butter over medium heat.
2. Add the onions and potatoes along with salt to the pan and lower the heat.
3. Cook the onions and potatoes for about 8-10 minutes until golden. Ensure the onions do not turn brown, as that makes them bitter.
4. In a mixing bowl, mix the eggs, milk, and pepper, and beat them until frothy.
5. Pour the egg mixture over onions and potatoes and cover. Turn the flame medium to low.
6. Cook the frittata for some time, until it is almost set; this takes about 6-7 minutes.
7. Spread the crumbled cheese over the frittata, cover and cook for another 4 minutes. It will puff up slightly.
8. Allow the frittata to rest for 5 minutes.
9. Serve with bread and ketchup, if required.

The recipe has been taken frm an Italian cookbook and i have adapted it to suit taste (or rather to suit the material available with me ;) )....
