"Who is John Galt?"

'Howard Roark laughed.'

Two of the most potent lines in the history of literature...Lines tht introduced the readers to a new world...lines tht peeled the first layer off the protagonists...lines tht made heroes out of mortals...lines tht will be remembered by readers for ages to come...lines tht will remind all even centuries frm now tht mavericks wil continue to live amongst us,like us and yet, unlike us, and they will continue to make a difference to our lives so powerful,so omnipresent tht we mit be forced to change our definiton of life itself...

A wholehearted salute to Ayn Rand for giving us such cult classics which began with the famous words...

Ba'SIN' CITY...

Saw Sin City day before...and now i know why some ppl rever Frank Miller...he sure knew how to grab the reader's attention and then keep it tht way! and the fact tht he hs co-directed the movie with Rodriguez (and Tarantino as guest director) without having any prior experience behind the camera just tells u how good he is at bringing, wat he hd in mind and on paper, to life on the screen ...
excellent movie wit a good story (very good for a comic book actually!) replete with twists and turns and excellent use of color and camera and of course, the clincher-amazing dialogues tht'll stay with u for ages! i loved 300 when i saw it and thts wat prompted me to watch sin city...hope to read the original graphic novels some day!

GO FOR IT with a capital G!

IPL mania!!!

The IPL sure has every1 hooked up!I for one,hv spent the last entire month enjoying the gr8 cricket on display everyday aftr work...its been eating into a lot of my time (an like every1, i love to complain tht i dont get enough time ;) ) but for a change,i dont really mind...its been a rocker all the way...damn the doubters (me being one of them, albeit for a very very small period)!its been exactly a month and we are as near figuring out the semifinalists as we were when McCullum toyed with Mallya's 'test' team!

Thr hv been ups (all the spectacular performances and keenly contested matches) and downs (slapgate/dope tests) but overall its been exciting! Here's to more cricketainment in the days to come! :)
